“I think you may have saved me...

I recently watched your webinar and saw you on a morning program this morning on channel 7 (Morning show Saturday 25 May).

Just out of curiosity, I did venture into this black rabbit hole, to sample what actually happens on these sites. Interestingly for me, the first real red flag was the variations of dialogue and tonality of how conversations or “chats “ gradually generated or rather degenerated into purpose-driven specifics.

For instance, as your webinar so clearly pointed out, the gradual disjointed, often confused conversation threads, intertwined with grammar/spelling errors.

I also paid very close attention to, certain words and phrases not commonly spoken or written as part of the Australian vocabulary or vernacular.. For instance, words such as “grocery store” where we would commonly referred to as “supermarket”. Another one I noticed was the common reference to “gas” instead of “petrol”. This is found particularly interesting in terms of when the lady and indeed ladies I was in communication with, wanted me to buy her/them gift cards, for her to buy “gas” for her “automobile “ .. No one I know uses these words in common conversation, let alone actually requesting and in some cases - aggressively almost demanding I purchase these cards for them ..and they were very persuasive in terms of their demands and its specific nature. The use of sex was indeed a key strategy.

Another very persuasive tool they would use it in the attempted selling of explicit video and pictorial content. That was the big deal breaker for me …

Fortunately, after about 1 -2 weeks of active interest in this world, I eventually woke up to myself and decided this was not for me …

Your website and video information were very important and informative to me.

For this, I thank you”.
